Pacific Black Duck

Anywhere there's water you'll find PBDs. Fond of white bread, these are the ducks that boldly approach toddlers in parks. In the wild, they are altogether oversensitive and fly off at any approach of less than 500 paces.

PBDs are regularly found at the pond at the bottom of my street. Their redeeming feature is the stunning green patch on the wing, and now I have posted a photograph showing that, I promise I will not mention this ubiquitous duck again.

  1. I think they're quite an attractive bird, and like their little splodge of sheen too.
